Muscle Fiber Methodology

Course Description
Muscle Fiber Methodology is a unique combination of methods incorporating Muscle Fiber Manipulation and Passive Stretching that allows clients to reach optimal Performance. Muscle Fiber Methodology offers a systematic and effective approach to treating various muscular problems. Muscle Fiber Methodology deals with the correction, strengthening and prevention of disorders involving locomotor structures of the body, especially those impacting muscles, joints and other supporting structures of the body.

  16. Applying the methodology according to assessment and treatment plan
  17. How to combine muscle fiber manipulation and passive stretching
  18. Demonstration of methods learnt

(All students will be given temperature checks and PPE at the beginning of the class)

Class/Course Outline

Class Schedule 1 – Assessment and Passive Stretching Methods – 6 CE Hours
09:00 – 09:20 Meet and greet, introduction to Muscle Fiber Methodology and handout of class materials.
09:20 – 11:00 Students practice assessment and understanding the necessity of passive stretching methods for various muscle imbalances.
11:00 – 11:20 Break
11:20 – 01:00 Students set up table for table time. Tutor demonstrates while Group 1 practices stretching methods for various muscle imbalances.
01:00 – 02:00 Lunch Break
02:00 – 03:40 Students set up table for table time. Tutor demonstrates while Group 2 practices stretching methods for various muscle imbalances.
03:40 – 04:00 Verbal review of course content, question & answer session.

 

Class Schedule 2 – Muscle Manipulation to Back and Shoulder – 8 CE Hours

09:00 – 09:30 Meet and greet, introduction to Muscle Fiber Methodology and handout of class materials.
09:30 – 11:30 Students practice assessment and understanding muscles of the back and shoulder (eg. SITS, Rhomboids, Levator Scapulae, Trapezius, Latissimus Dorsi, Serratus Anterior & Posterior, Quadratus Lumborum) and how these muscle imbalances impact our skeletal body.
11:30 – 11:50 Break
11:50 – 02:00 Students set up table for table time. Tutor demonstrates while Group 1 practices muscle manipulation methods for muscle imbalances of the back and shoulder.
02:00 – 03:00 Lunch break
03:00 – 05:10 Students set up table for table time. Tutor demonstrates while Group 2 practices muscle manipulation methods for muscle imbalances of the back and shoulder.
05:10 – 05:40 Verbal review of course content, question & answer session.
05:40 – 06:00 Students fill out evaluation forms.

 

Class Schedule 3 – Muscle Manipulation to Arms, Chest and Anterior Neck – 8 CE Hours

09:00 – 09:30 Meet and greet, introduction to Muscle Fiber Methodology and handout of class materials.
09:30 – 11:30 Students practice assessment and understanding muscles of the arms, chest and neck (eg. Biceps, Triceps, Pronators, Brachioradialis, Extensor Carpi Radialis Brevis & Lungus) and how these muscle imbalances impact our skeletal body.
11:30 – 11:50 Break
11:50 – 02:00 Students set up table for table time. Tutor demonstrates while Group 1 practices muscle manipulation methods for muscle imbalances of the arm, chest and anterior neck.
02:00 – 03:00 Lunch break
03:00 – 05:10 Students set up table for table time. Tutor demonstrates while Group 2 practices muscle manipulation methods for muscle imbalances of arm, chest and anterior neck.
05:10 – 05:40 Verbal review of course content, question & answer session.
05:40 – 06:00 Students fill out evaluation forms.

 

Class Schedule 4 – Muscle Manipulation to Glutes and Lower Body – 8 CE Hours

09:00 – 09:30 Meet and greet, introduction to Muscle Fiber Methodology and handout of class materials.
09:30 – 11:30 Students practice assessment and understanding muscles of the hip/pelvis and lower body (eg. glutes, hamstrings, quads, lower leg muscles) and how these muscle imbalances impact our skeletal body.
11:30 – 11:50 Break
11:50 – 02:00 Students set up table for table time. Tutor demonstrates while Group 1 practices muscle manipulation methods for muscle imbalances of the glutes and lower body.
02:00 – 03:00 Lunch break
03:00 – 05:10 Students set up table for table time. Tutor demonstrates while Group 2 practices muscle manipulation methods for muscle imbalances of glutes and lower body.
05:10 – 05:40 Verbal review of course content, question & answer session.
05:40 – 05:00 Students fill out evaluation forms.

 

CE Course Materials:
Course materials will include information on muscles and their imbalances, and how these muscle imbalances impact the skeletal body. This packet will also include information from the Muscle Fiber Methodology Textbook for that specific CE class/course.
