This course introduces the theories and mechanisms of disease while focusing on the
pathological conditions most likely to be encountered in a muscle fiber methodology practice.
Special attention will be given to precautions, contraindications, and indications for muscle fiber
methodology sessions when working with clients with specific conditions. When
and how it is appropriate to refer clients to other healthcare practitioners will be discussed.

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Perform research to acquire practical knowledge of their client’s medical conditions.
2. Plan sessions to provide safe and effective muscle fiber methodology for clients with
specific medical conditions.
3. Feel comfortable working on people who are experiencing illness or injury.
4. Talk to health care professionals in an informed and confident way.
